We collect information that you voluntarily provide when using ForeGoals: • Profile Information: Your name, handicap index, and optional GHIN number. ForeGoals has no accounts, so we do not collect a username, email address, or password. • Golf Performance Data: Scores, drive, approach, recovery, and putting results, the causes you record, goals, and Forethoughts • Course Information: Golf course selections and preferences • User-Generated Content: Photos uploaded for scorecard extraction
1.2 Automatically Collected Information
When you use ForeGoals, we automatically collect: • Device Information: Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers • Usage Data: App features accessed, session duration, and interaction patterns • Log Data: IP address, browser type, and crash reports for debugging
1.3 Location Information
With your permission, ForeGoals uses your location only when you tap "Find courses near me," to look up nearby golf courses. Your coordinates are sent to our course data provider for that search. ForeGoals does not store your location or track it in the background. You can disable location access through your device settings.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
2.1 Provide and Improve Services
• Deliver core ForeGoals functionality (goal setting, shot tracking, AI recaps) • Calculate and display golf statistics and trends • Generate AI-powered hole recaps and coaching insights using Anthropic Claude • Improve app performance, features, and user experience
2.2 Communication
• Send important updates about the app • Respond to support requests and feedback • Notify you of new features (with your consent)
2.3 Analytics and Research
• Analyze app usage patterns to improve functionality • Conduct research to enhance golf tracking features • Monitor app stability and diagnose technical issues
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
3.1 Service Providers
We work with trusted third-party service providers: • Anthropic (Claude AI): For generating hole recaps and coaching insights, and for reading scorecard photos you submit. The round details, your name, and your Forethoughts are sent for this purpose and processed according to Anthropic's privacy policy. • GolfCourseAPI: For golf course information. Your search text, or your location when you ask for nearby courses, is sent to perform the search. • Google Firebase: For usage analytics and crash reports. You can turn analytics off in the app's Preferences. • RevenueCat, Apple, and Google: For processing and managing subscriptions. These providers access your information only to perform services on our behalf and are obligated to protect it.
3.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or to: • Protect our rights and property • Prevent fraud or security issues • Comply with regulatory obligations
3.3 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Local Storage
ForeGoals stores your golf performance data locally on your device, which allows you to access it offline. ForeGoals does not add its own encryption to this data; it is protected by your device's passcode and built-in storage encryption.
4.2 Cloud Storage
ForeGoals does not store your golf data on our servers or sync it between devices. You can export your completed rounds to a file from the app's Preferences to back them up or move them to another device. Your device's own backup service (such as iCloud or Google backup) may include app data, depending on your device settings.
4.3 Security Measures
We implement reasonable security measures including: • Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) • Regular security updates However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
Access and Portability
Your golf data is stored on your device. You can export your completed rounds from the app's Preferences at any time.
Correction
Update or correct inaccurate information through the app settings.
Deletion
Because your golf data is stored on your device, deleting the app removes it. To ask about information held by our service providers, contact us.
Opt-Out
Disable AI recaps or analytics in the app's Preferences, and location access in your device settings.
6. Children's Privacy
ForeGoals is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
7. Third-Party Links and Services
ForeGoals may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., golf course websites). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
8. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
