Find where you're losing strokes.
Fix what matters.
ForeGoals helps golfers understand what's costing them strokes and what to practice next — with about 15 seconds of tracking per hole.
No sensors. No GPS shot tracking. No logging every club or distance.
Play with a purpose. Understand your game. Practice what matters.
Play with a purpose.
Set goals for the golfer you want to become and the round you want to play.
Understand your game.
Track a few important outcomes instead of every shot and see where strokes are being lost.
Practice what matters.
Turn what happened on the course into your next practice plan.
Golf improvement shouldn't become a data-entry project.
Traditional detailed golf analytics can be extremely powerful — but they usually mean recording every shot, its distance, its lie, the club, where it started, and where it ended.
ForeGoals takes a different approach.
It cares about the moments that actually cost you strokes: penalty drives, trouble drives, missed approaches, failed recoveries, compounding mistakes, and three-putts.
We call it Strokes Lost.
ForeGoals estimates where costly outcomes are hurting your score, so it can prioritize what actually deserves your attention — a simplified performance analysis, not tour-grade, shot-level strokes gained.
Decide what kind of golfer you're trying to become.
Set Season Goals — break 90, no three-putts, avoid triple bogeys, fewer doubles, a certain number of rounds or practice sessions. Whatever defines your season.
Improvement isn't measured only by your final score. You make progress every time you reduce the mistakes standing between you and your goal.
Start the round with a plan — not just a number in your head.
Most golfers tee off thinking "I need to break 80." ForeGoals turns that into a realistic scoring distribution instead.
An opening bogey isn't the beginning of a bad round. You're still exactly on plan.
To shoot 89, it might be 3 Pars + 12 Bogeys + 3 Doubles. A double doesn't automatically wreck the round either — it's intentional golf instead of emotional golf. You know what a successful round actually looks like before you tee off.
You don't need every shot. You need the shots that tell the story.
- First Drive: Did you put yourself in position to play the hole?
- First Approach: Did you put yourself in position to finish the hole effectively?
- First Recovery: When you missed the green, did you recover or compound the mistake?
- First Putt on a 3-Putt: What kept the first putt from setting up a routine two-putt?
- Total Putts & Score: The outcome, for the record.

ForeGoals answers a different question.
"How many strokes did my 167-yard approach from the rough gain against a benchmark?"
"What keeps screwing up my rounds?"
And what should I do about it?

A bad result isn't enough. ForeGoals asks why.
Drive went to Trouble? ForeGoals asks what caused it: Decision, Direction Control, or Strike Quality. Missed an approach or a recovery? Same four — Decision, Direction Control, Distance Control, Strike Quality. Three-putt? It just asks about the first putt: Poor Read, Short, Long, or Start Line.
That context powers Strokes Lost, your statistics, the AI Coach, practice priorities, and Forethoughts. The same causes become patterns across rounds — not just a bad hole, but a habit worth fixing.
Know the problem. Carry the solution into your next round.
A Forethought is a simple personal reminder you carry into the round — for driving, approach, recovery, or putting.
Forethoughts aren't standalone notes. They connect round insight to practice to your next round — and they can come from your own observation, a practice session, a lesson, or the AI Coach.
Your score tells you what happened. ForeGoals helps tell you why.
A representative example of how one round flows into the next.
Feedback that tells you the hard truth.
Your score says 84. ForeGoals tells you why. The AI Coach isn't the product — the structured information you track is. The Coach just has real context to work with: your goals, this round's outcomes, the causes you recorded, Strokes Lost, your history, and your Forethoughts.
Five penalty strokes came from aggressive decisions that didn't match your control today. The bigger issue was compounding mistakes: eight holes contained multiple errors, turning manageable bogeys into doubles and triples.
WHAT TO WORK ONPrioritize Driver Direction Control and more conservative targets when trouble is in play.
Not "Great round!" Not generic swing advice. Feedback based on what actually happened.

Why I built ForeGoals
I tried golf apps that wanted every shot, every club, every distance and every lie. They're powerful. I just never stuck with them. I wanted something that could tell me why I keep shooting 84 instead of 79 without turning every round into a data-entry exercise. So I built ForeGoals. It tracks the few things I care about, tells me the uncomfortable truth about where I'm losing strokes, and turns that into something I can actually practice.
I built ForeGoals for golfers who want to get better — but also want to enjoy playing golf.
